Travel Diary: Blue Ridge Mountains

Hello, lovelies!
I know I've been absent from this blog for some time, mostly due to work and personal stresses. However, I am back with another post!
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season so far. I know that it's my favorite time of the year, for sure. I had a birthday recently on November 21st (where are all my other Scorpios?), and to celebrate, I took a trip over to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
I went with two of my closest friends and my mom, and we had a blast. From antiquing to hiking to general exploration, it was a beautiful trip. It's especially nice to see all of the leaves change during Autumn!

We rented a two-story cabin high up in the mountains, and the view was spectacular! It definitely got chilly, though! I think that the coldest it got was in the low 20's (Fahrenheit, I mean).

I really loved that we could see the mountains from the deck. It was truly wonderful. There's something about breathing in the fresh mountain air that really refreshes your system.

This is me (on the right) and one of my good friends who went with me to celebrate my birthday. I wish I had a photo with my other friend, but sadly, we forgot to take one together! XD

We also took a trip to Ruby Falls, which is a very beautiful waterfall that I've had the pleasure of visiting before. However, due to the park being closed, we decided to just hike around the lake, and take some really fun snapchats (my snapchat is @mermaid.sydney).

Finally, we took a trip over to Helen, Georgia. This little town is beyond adorable. It's heavily influenced by old German architecture, and the townspeople really go all out for the holidays. The light up the entire town with beautiful Christmas lights and decorations - it really is adorable.

Well, that's all I have for today. I hope that you all are enjoying your holiday season, and I will try to follow up with some more holiday-themed posts! Love you all!

Have a beautiful day,

Sydney
